Baldness: Expert Insights, Treatments, Transplant, and Tips

Baldness is very common in middle-aged men. Usually, it starts with a receding frontal hairline or a bald patch at the crown area. With time it progresses to such an extent that complete baldness is evident. Male pattern hair loss or Androgenic Alopecia is responsible for baldness in men. In this type of hair loss, genetic programming results in the miniaturization of hair follicles (hair roots become smaller). A hormone (DHT) is also involved in this process of hair loss. There is no permanent cure for this condition and thus eventually baldness appears.

Hair Loss Treatment in Udaipur - Hair Doctor in Udaipur

Depending on the area involved male pattern hair loss is divided into 7 different grades. Treatment depends on the grade of baldness and your preference/passion for looks and hairline. For Grades 1 and 2, a transplant is usually not suggested.

Hair Transplant is mainly done with two different techniques in Udaipur and everywhere else – FUE & FUT. In FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) there is no cut, stitch, or scar mark. Also, pain and downtime are less in FUE Hair Transplant. In FUT hair transplant a strip of skin is cut from the donor area so there is a scar and more pain after the hair transplant procedure.

1. Non-Medical Options: Hair weaving, hairpieces, or hairstyle changes.
2. Medications: Medicines like Minoxidil and Finasteride can slow hair loss.
3. Experimental treatments involve Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, GFC Therapies, hair transplants, and laser/light therapies.
4. Suturing hairpieces to the scalp and using artificial hair implants are discouraged due to potential complications.
